The Japanese Red Leaf Maple (Acer palmatum 'Atropurpureum') produces delicate, ruby-red leaves in spring time, giving way to darker maroon, then purple as summer unfolds. Brighter in sun. A small landscape tree used in more formal gardens and courtyards, and one that is perfect for large deck planters.
NOTE: This tree will NOT have leaves from October through March. You may want to consider an Evergreen tree for better presentation during this time period.
